The Story of the Autograph
Trevor May is a right-handed reliever in the major leagues. He started his career in Minnesota with the Twins in 2014 and currently places with the New York Mets.
May is a Washington native. He helped his high school team to a second place finish in the state baseball championships and was named the 3A State Player of the Year. He was ready to go to the University of Washington and play for the Huskies, but the Phillies drafted him in the fourth round of the 2008 MLB Draft and he decided to skip college and become a major league.
He didn’t make it to the majors with the Phillies though. In December of 2012 he was traded to the Twins with Alex Meyer in exchange for Denard Span. He would make his debut a season later on August 9, 2014. His career began as a starter, but as of 2016 he’s been a full time reliever. In 2017 he had Tommy John surgery and missed the entire season. After starting 2018 off on the injured list he came back to play for the Twins later in the year.
After the 2020 season he signed a two-year deal with he Mets. Last season he pitched in a career high 68 games and put up a 7-3 record with a 3.59 ERA.
May is also a Twitch streamer, gamer, eSports entrepreneur, podcaster and YouTuber.
The Score on Trevor May – 7.0
I found some of what Trevor does on YouTube last year and I loved it. I’m sure some of why I enjoyed it was just because he is a Met now. But I really liked what he did to give that inside look at how he gets ready for games. As for these I really love how the Stadium Club card came out. I have to see what I can do to find him on a Mets card and ask him to sign that.
Thanks Mr. May! I’m giving this return a 7.
