The Story of the Autograph
Scott Pearson is a former NHL player who played at left wing. He played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Quebec Nordiques, Edmonton Oilers, Buffalo Sabres and New York Islanders from 1988 to 2000.
Pearson was bron in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. He played his junior hockey between 1985 and 1989 with the Kingston Canadians, Kingston Raiders, and Niagara Falls Thunder of the OHL. In 1988 he was drafted by the Maple Leas with the sixth overall pick of the NHL Draft. He played parts of a few seasons with the Maple Leafs before being traded along with draft picks to Quebec in 1990 for Aaron Broten, Lucien DeBlois and Michel Petit.
He spent the three full seasons in Quebec and never played in more than half the games in a season. After the 1993 season he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers for a draft pick and Martin Gelinas. The 1993-94 season with the Oilers would be his best. He played in a career high 72 games and hit career highs in goals (19), assists (18) and of course points (37). The Oilers then traded him to Buffalo the following season for Ken Sutton.
He would move around as a free agent to finish out his career. But never saw a full season in the NHL with any team other than Edmonton. After retiring he tried a comeback in the ECHL in 2006-07 but played only one game for the Gwinnett Gladiators.
The Score on Scott Pearson – 6.5
This is a great one from Scott. If you follow me regularly you know I recently went to Montreal and Quebec. Now when I see Nordiques cards they feel a bit more special to me. That’s my favorite one of these, the 1991 Bowman card where he is in a Nordiques jersey. Its the card that shows his signature off the best.
Thanks Mr. Pearson! I’m giving this return a 6.5.
