The Story of the Autograph
Ron Kittle played as an outfielder, mostly in left, and a designated hitter in the majors for a few teams during his career from 1982 through 1991. He played for the White Sox (in three stints), Yankees, Indians, and Orioles.
Kittle was born in Indiana and at one time was a steelworker. He was a power hitter coming up through the minors and once hit 50 home runs while playing for the Edmonton Trappers. He broke in for a few games in the ’82 season after debuting on September 2nd, but he only hit one home run.
1983 was a bit different though. Ron played in 145 games and hit .254 with 35 homers (a career high) and 100 RBI (a career high). It was feast or famine with him though because he also struck out a major league high 150 times. Still, he was an All-Star and voted Rookie of the Year while playing for those “Winnin’ Ugly” WhiteSox.
But it was all downhill from there. He still hit for power but his average declined and still stuck out a lot. He moved around a lot but always seemed to end up in Chicago again somehow. After his playing career he went on to manage in the minors.
The Score on Ron Kittle – 7.0
Ron has a great autograph. It’s pretty easy to tell it’s his and he used a great marker. I always love that he signs so big too. I actually have a couple of these as doubles but these were all better than what I had for the most part.
Thanks Mr. Kittle! I’m giving this return a 7.

Hello! My name is Connor and I’m wondering, did you send these Kittle’s to his home in Mokena or Valparaiso? Thanks!
