The Story of the Autograph
Rob Zettler is a former defenseman in the NHL. He played between 1988 and 2002 with the Minnesota North Stars, San Jose Sharks, Philadelphia Flyers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Nashville Predators, and Washington Capitals.
Zettler was born and raised in Quebec, Canada. He was drafted by the North Stars in the 1986 NHL Draft with the 55th overall pick. He played a short time there and then was taken by the Sharks in the 1991 NHL Dispersal Draft for the new expansion teams. He was traded a few times in his career. His next trade would be to Philadelphia and then later to Toronto.
As a defenseman he was never a tremendous scorer. He never scored more than two goals in any NHL season. His best assis year was in 1996-’97 when he had 12 for the Maple Leafs. He retired on August 27, 2002.
After his playing days he went into coaching and broadcasing. These days he is an assistant coach for the Lightning.
The Score on Rob Zettler – 6.0
Rob used a really nice marker on these. It’s really thick and came out really dark. There is a bit of smudging or transfer on the 1990 Topps card, but overall it’s still pretty good. I think he included his number on the Topps card but not on the Pro Set card. Do you think he forgot his Sharks number?
Thanks Mr. Zettler! I’m giving this return a 6.
