This was a really great weekend weather-wise and I took advantage!
Gave the cars a wash yesterday… I really thought that would mean the rain was coming. Somehow it didn’t. It was supposed to, but it held off and actually became a great day.
Then today, Sunday morning, the neighborhood had another car show. A bunch of folks go down to the shopping center parking lot just outside the neighborhood boundary and line up their cars. I know folks do “cars and coffee” stuff like that all over. Heck, there’s a bigger one they do north of us in Great Falls, but it’s fun being right in the neighborhood.
There was a right-hand drive ’62 Morris Mini that might have been one of my favorites. It was pristine and I think I heard it was from Australia. But there was also a Dodge Dart that belong to the owner’s grandmother at one time and they still had it. It was a really good time hanging out with neighbors.
I also love just taking pictures. I love old car badges and all the colors. Even if they are beat up. They remind me of team logos.
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and has a great week!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Jeff Tackett
- Tuesday: Ken McMullen, Dave Dravecky
- Wednesday: Bill Long
- Thursday: George Mitterwald
- Friday: Bill Landrum
- Saturday: Kjell Samuelsson
- Sunday: Adam Burt
No theme for the #twofortuesday this week. I was mostly going through the oldest things that I have doubles of in the backlog. At some point I would like to pile doubles into the same posts to cut down on my backlog. But that would mean I need to do some more catch up work on my pictures.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Mayberry I will, Mayberry I won’t…
- Tuesday: Up and Adam…
- Tuesday: What a Studwell…
- Wednesday: Rats Foyle-d again…
- Thursday: Hale to the chief…
- Friday: Say-berhagen anything…
- Saturday: Mike check…
- Sunday: Shooting Reboulets…
There’s no #twofortuesday this week again. I’ll probably have some more coming up in the next couple weeks though.
Other Notes
Another pretty good week in the books. I got 18 returns back. One of those was a failure so 17 successful returns is never a bad week at all. That pretty much is dead on with what I am sending out.
It was an odd week to. With the holiday I love it when I get a surge the day after and that’s exactly what happened. I got 11 returns on Tuesday! Of course that means I got seven the rest of the week. But it was an amazing start.
The failure I got from Albert Bentley. That was pretty much a flyer I was taking because I don’t think I saw any recent returns or a recent good success from the last address on SCF. As for stragglers there was one that was just over at 222 days – Mark Murphy. The other was 1,000 exactly and that was Popeye Jones. It was definitely in my write off group.
I got back two paid returns from Alejandro Pena and Andre Dawson. I also got back two returns from teams. One was the Popeye Jones which I had sent to the Denver Nuggets. The other was from Bill Ranford with the Los Angeles Kings.
The Recent TTM Success page will be updated next weekend.
Have a great week!
