This post feels a little odd to me today. I’m writing it really late in the day. Normally I do it in the morning right after I make the card post for the day. But there’s good reason…
I had my first off-roading experience today! I didn’t drive but I went out with some friends who have Jeeps and we went out on a trail west of DC. It was a really fun experience hanging out with the guys and stuff. I’m hoping I can make a little video for them based on what we did. It was there first time going out too. I actually learned a lot about it.
It was cool too to see others coming on to the trail who were doing it for their first time and asking us questions. There was a great friendship there with fellow OHV owners. Definitely a fun experience and an absolutely beautiful day to do it too.
Hope you have things making you smile in your life!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Juan Gonzalez
- Tuesday: Wilson Alvarez, Ron Kittle
- Wednesday: Bob Milacki
- Thursday: Roberto Hernandez
- Friday: Rick Peters
- Saturday: Mike Tyson
- Sunday: Bob Patterson
This week didn’t have a theme but the #twofortuesday posts were all White Sox. I got a ton of White Sox returns last month, but those are older White Sox returns I hadn’t yet gotten to.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: You can put his names together into one…
- Tuesday: Ring my Bell…
- Tuesday: Now I Lyle me down to sleep…
- Wednesday: Dan the Man…
- Thursday: Jake the snake…
- Friday: Two for Tupa…
- Saturday: Shelby Cobra…
- Sunday: Tomahawk…
The theme this week is #ByTheTimeIGetToArizona. I was listening to a little public enemy last week and thought of all the Diamondbacks and other Arizona cards I had pending and thought that would be fun. I don’t have a theme within the theme planned for the #twofortuesday yet, and probably won’t by Tuesday either so we are rolling with the order as-is.
Other Notes
I was a little bit worried about this week. I think I have a quite a few envelopes I haven’t gotten that I should have according to Informed Delivery. Alas, they are not here. The number was not looking as good as previous weeks after Friday. Then yesterday I hit a jackpot of nine returns to bring the weekly total to 21!
There were definitely some surprises that I didn’t think I was getting back. Some just because they had become stragglers and others that I just am surprised to get back at all. Kevin Kramer and Lenny Harris definitely fit that bill. But some of my other favorites I got back were Ruben Amaro, Emerson Boozer, Doug Dascenzo, Ben Davis and Tony Delk.
Have a great week!
