Football is back! But also… Football is back!
One football got started last week and the other is just about time to get started back up again for reals. Unfortunately, it is probably not going to be a fun season to watch in either sport for the main teams that I watch. The Giants I’m sure won’t be good again, and Everton is already pretty hopeless.
The Giants I feel like could at least provide some interest. I think they have some fun players to watch on defense and who knows what will happen for the offense. Nabors could be really exciting, but he plays a position that is very dependent on someone else. And that someone else is… well, who knows what Daniel Jones will be.
Everton is just extremely frustrating. Because of that I’m trying to find some alternatives when game start going bad. I think I am going to watch a little more Serie A. I’m planning to follow Pulisic and McKennie and see how that goes. Who are you following in some “alternate” leagues… whatever “alternate” means to you.
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and has a great week!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Jimmy Waite
- Tuesday: Mike Bielecki, Paul Runge
- Wednesday: Donald Harris
- Thursday: Bill Wegman
- Friday: Jeff Calhoun
- Saturday: Larry Krystowiak
- Sunday: Kevin Stocker
The #twofortuesday was another ATL theme. I feel like I’ve had a lot of those in recent months. The other thing I had were some guys that I have a lot of returns from in Bielecki and Wegman.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Give you a n-Ujdur…
- Tuesday: Dave or Davey…
- Tuesday: He ain’t no Terry… cloth…
- Wednesday: I bid you Adduci…
- Thursday: The Refridgerator…
- Friday: The Big O…
- Saturday: Ferrell cat…
- Sunday: Hello Gerald…
There’s no #twofortuesday this week. I’m working my way through the oldest parts of my backlog. The way I’ve been working is to alternate the oldest in the backlog with the oldest in the backlog that I also have repeats of in the backlog that are more current.
Other Notes
After a really amazing wee of returns with 26, last week calmed down. Actually it calmed down a whole lot. I only had 11 returns. So if you average things out it was a good two weeks of returns. But if you just look at this week… not as good.
I didn’t have any failures, which is always good. I had three returns from teams with Lenny Harris (Daytona Tortugas), Tony La Russa (Chicago White Sox), and Darren Holmes (Chicago Cubs) coming back to me. If the others there was only one straggler and that was Johnny Damon after 205 days. There was also one paid return from Greg Olson (the catcher).
The Recent TTM Success page will be updated next weekend.
Have a great week!
