Well, the Ranger’s postseason run didn’t last as long as I had hoped. It started off really well, but Florida is definitely built for the playoffs. They got the better of the Rangers, especially of the big guys that really needed to come through. It’s one of those loses that you hope doesn’t mean things change drastically for next season. There are so many guys I like on this team. I know its hard to keep guys at some point, but it’s the part I hate about endings like this.
Then there’s the Mets. Not much to say there. Things sort of turned around against the Diamondbacks a little bit. But I’m writing this Sunday morning so who knows if the weekend will be a complete downer at this point or not. Hopefully things can turn around and we can at least be respectable.
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and has a great week!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Tony Dumas
- Tuesday: Harvey Pulliam, Joe Zdeb
- Wednesday: Mike Johnson
- Thursday: Frank Reich
- Friday: Felix Wright
- Saturday: Scott Hemond
- Sunday: Tom Kelly
The #twofortuesday last week was focused on the Royals. It was two pretty random guys, definitely deep into the all-time roster. Other than that there was a good chunk of football.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Cleveland rocks…
- Tuesday: Wanted poster…
- Tuesday: Carman or Truckman…
- Wednesday: Johnny B. Goode…
- Thursday: Master Blas-ter…
- Friday: Bruce’s brother…
- Saturday: Fire the Lazorko…
- Sunday: Workman’s comp…
While I’m starting this week off with Cleveland, the #twofortuesday will be all #philly. Or maybe we could say it’s a #phillyspecial. There will be a bit of a mix in sports this week.
Other Notes
Last week started out as a typical holiday week for returns. The extra day gives the mail time to pile up at the post office and that generates a big Tuesday. I got back eight returns on Tuesday and the week started out great. Then it slowed down a bit and I got seven more for the rest of the week. 15 total is a pretty good week though, especially with no failures.
I got back Jim Rooker as far as paid returns go. I also got beack Bill Cartwright from the University of San Francisco, Sylvain Lefebvre from the Panthers, and Arthur Rhodes from the Lexington Legends for coaching and school returns. There was one lone straggler and that was Cartwright at 902 days!
The Recent TTM Success page will be updated next weekend.
Have a great week!
