I’m not sure how others feel about it, but I kind of like the idea of more games in other countries. It adds that little bit of interest over the normal day-to-day baseball. I also like the idea that people who are baseball fan in those other areas get a chance to see teams they like. Just seeing others on social media posting about it and how excited they are to see it is nice.
I would have loved to go over there and watch the game. I was starting to plan it, but it’s right as the school year is ending for my youngest kiddo. I couldn’t have done it without the family.
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and has a great week!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Reggie Cleveland
- Tuesday: John Outlaw, Don Carman
- Wednesday: Johnny Damon
- Thursday: Blas Minor
- Friday: Gary Wayne
- Saturday: Jack Lazorko
- Sunday: Haywoode Workman
The #twofortuesday last week was focused on Philadelphia. I got an Eagle and a Phillie in there. Funny that it happened this week and I write this as the Mets play the Phils.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: What can Brown do for you…
- Tuesday: Noce chance…
- Tuesday: Richie Rich…
- Wednesday: Let’s play Pat Put…
- Thursday: Keepin’ up with the Joneses…
- Friday: Brooksie…
- Saturday: We bought a Zuleta…
- Sunday: Flyin’ Bryan…
There’s another city #twofortuesday week up this week. It’s all Windy City and Chicago. I have two ways I can go with this, but I’m going to keep it at the city level and not at the team level.
Other Notes
This was a little more of a come back down to earth week of returns. I got 15 returns, with 13 of those being successes. It ended up being pretty consistent returns for the week too without any day being a whole lot more than another.
The two failures were a refusal from Carl Mauck which I think I knew would happen and then Larry McWilliams returned a card stating that he charges $5 per card these days. The odd part was that McWilliams was also one of the stragglers. He returned it after 1,445 days or pretty much four years. There was one other straggler from Eric Anthony after 519 days. I also got a paid return back from Ron Guidry and a team return back from Jeff Huson.
The Recent TTM Success page will be updated next weekend.
Have a great week!
