I feel like I am constantly playing catch up these days.
I’m usually really good about prepping my posts ahead of time. But this week I was basically writing them as I was posting them by the end of the week. And if I don’t use today to get ready for the week then I’ll be doing the same thing this week.
It’s the same for writing my TTM letters and then even prepping things I’m going to send out for the week. I feel like I am constantly waiting until the last minute to do things (mostly because life is just getting in the way) and then I’m just always catching up.
I think it would help if I took time off work like I should. I think I’m at my vacation hours cap and it’s dumb of me to keep letting that go one. Taking a day off here or there would help me mentally AND let me do some things I actually want to do… like playing with my cards and my blog.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Roger Metzger
- Tuesday: Kevin Butler, Jack Youngblood
- Wednesday: Wes Helms
- Thursday: Mike Bruhert
- Friday: John Crotty
- Saturday: Amos Otis
- Sunday: Fred Marion
Despite feeling like I am behind, this was the second week in a row that I had a theme for the #twofortuesday. This week it was football because that’s what was creeping up in the backlog. I actually had three to choose from.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Lookin’ down the barrel of a Gunderson…
- Tuesday: Cliff diver…
- Tuesday: In the Genes…
- Wednesday: Off the Mark…
- Thursday: Mark II…
- Friday: Tracy your steps…
- Saturday: Tapani the bottle…
- Sunday: Pressey the button…
The #twofortuesday theme this week is about the ATL. Even better… in multiple sports.
Other Notes
This week I had thirteen items returned and one was a failure. I’ve actually been doing well on the failures front lately. I mean, maybe I’m not getting too much back instead of just getting failures. It’s basically been a month before I got a failure back. And even then one of those failures got turned around to a different address and came back as a success. The funning thing about this one, it was Brian Trottier and I must not have sent a fee. But it came back with no cards after two years being out.
Overall twelve successes was OK this week. I got that one straggler failure and one straight straggler from Benoit Hogue (funny it was another hockey one) after 729 days. I also got three paid returns back this week from Alejandro Pena, George Foster and Kent Hrbek.
The Recent TTM Success page is updated.
Have a great week!
