I’m still feeling behind this week, but out of a bad thing, a good thing happened.
Last weekend was rough. I won’t go into specifics but it just was.
The good side is, and hopefully no one from my work ever reads this blog, but it got me out of something work-related. I was supposed to go to Vegas this week for a conference. Neither of those things interest me and it just would have made me feel further behind on top of that. So the bad thing that I wish never happened, it at least got me out of something.
Silver linings I guess…
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Eric Gunderson, RIP Vida Blue
- Tuesday: Cliff Levingston, Gene Garber
- Wednesday: Mark Carrier
- Thursday: Mark Grant
- Friday: Tracy Murray
- Saturday: Kevin Tapani
- Sunday: Paul Pressey
There was some good and bad this week. On the good side, I did an Atlanta-themed #twofortuesday. I could have also done one around basketball or “Mark”. Also on the good side, it was a more diverse week with three sports. On the bad side, Vida Blue passed away on Sunday and I had something from him pending in the backlog that I thought I would post. RIP Vida.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: He’s a Mench…
- Tuesday: Spikes it…
- Tuesday: Jones-ing for something…
- Wednesday: And, but, or, for, Knorr…
- Thursday: Warren Peace…
- Friday: Things are looking Rozier…
- Saturday: Bri guy…
- Sunday: Seeing Fred…
The #twofortuesday doesn’t have a theme for this week. I’m going through the oldest in the backlog and nothing spoke to me.
Other Notes
While it was a bad week from a personal life perspective, it was not from a hobby perspective. This wee I got back seventeen returns and one of those was a failure. That has to be my best week in months. I only had one straggler and that was Duane Kuiper at 274 days. Other than that no paid returns or anything like that. But I did get a few first time returns from Patrick Willis, Brevin Knight, Gilles Meloche, Cleo Miller, Lyle Mouton, and Ross Baumgarten.
This week I had thirteen items returned and one was a failure. I’ve actually been doing well on the failures front lately. I mean, maybe I’m not getting too much back instead of just getting failures. It’s basically been a month before I got a failure back. And even then one of those failures got turned around to a different address and came back as a success. The funning thing about this one, it was Brian Trottier and I must not have sent a fee. But it came back with no cards after two years being out.
The Recent TTM Success page is updated.
Have a great week!
