I took some PTO this past week which was nice, but it’s so different these days. I went to visit my Mom on the first weekend. That was fine and the drive up to Pennsylvania wasn’t too bad. But I really didn’t have much else planned for the rest of the week aside for some things with my family.
With working from home all the time now, it’s hard enough to get away from work during the regular work week when you are done for the day. When you do a stay-cation, that isn’t good either. I didn’t really do any work, but there’s just this feeling that work is always around. Just a challenge of being at home a lot more these days.
I hope everyone had a great week and enjoyed a day off. Most especially I hope everyone stayed safe and kept others around them safe.
Hope you enjoy your week.
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Gene Nelson
- Tuesday: Gary Wayne
- Wednesday: Caleb Joseph, Jamey Carroll
- Thursday: Bryan Harvey, From the Collection: Old Scorebooks
- Friday: Joe Oliver
- Saturday: Greg Anthony, Wayne Garrett
- Sunday: Doug Henry
Last week the theme was #twofirstnamesclub. It was definitely fun going through my backlog and picking these guys out. I was on PTO and I lost track of days so the #twofortuesday was actually on Wednesday. Then I got out a bonus post on Saturday. I think my favorite post of the week was related to the old scorebooks though. Sean from @seanssportscards on IG was the inspiration for that after a post he had earlier.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Rader of the Lost Arc…
- Tuesday: Rick-or-treat…
- Tuesday: Fruit by the Foote…
- Wednesday: Don’t you just know in you Gerhart of Gerharts…
- Thursday: Fulcher House…
- Friday: Say it ain’t so Joe…
- Saturday: Right on Trachsel…
- Sunday: Tom Tom Drum…
There’s theme for the upcoming #twofortuesday or the week. But I am working on one for the following week.
Other Notes
Last weekend when I did my post I had 23 returns for that week and I wasn’t going to see my Saturday mail. I ended up with 29 which is a great week. For this week we were short a day of mail. It was an OK week and then the Christmas Eve mail was a bit of an explosion with ten returns (and one failure) coming in on that day alone. I ended up with 22. In a short week that’s not so bad. Another short week will probably mean a similar number. That probably won’t help me break another monthly high.
The new Recent TTM Success is updated. I didn’t get to it last week – sorry!
Have a great week!
