I know other people have said things like this, but I like to quote Eli Manning, “I’m not superstitious… but I am a little stitious.”
My Mets are starting the NLCS tonight and I really want to talk about it, but I’m trying to avoid it just a little bit. You can’t help but try and think ahead. It is so hard to avoid it. The Dodgers will be tough with Othani and Betts. But the guy I am most scared of because of his “Mets Killer” status is Freddie Freeman.
The hard part is that he is such an easy guy to root for because he seems like such a good guy. I’m really trying to not be the fan that “hates” the other players these days. I just don’t think its a good look and sounds so negative. I’m trying to just be more positive about what I root for. Sometimes I am successful and sometimes I’m not. But I’m hoping a little positivity in different areas goes a long way.
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and has a great week!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Charlie Kerfeld
- Tuesday: Bryant Stith, Mack Strong
- Wednesday: Bill Stoneman
- Thursday: Billy Grabarkewitz
- Friday: Jarrod Bunch
- Saturday: Steve Jordan
- Sunday: Jeff Grotewold
There was no #twofortuesday last week. It was a somewhat eclectic week though. There was a good chunk of football in there and just a dab of basketball.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Codiroli of the streets…
- Tuesday: Fountains of Wayne…
- Tuesday: Ant Nee…
- Wednesday: Professor Xavier…
- Thursday: Lonborgitude and latitude…
- Friday: I’m gonna knock you out…
- Saturday: Like a Bostic…
- Sunday: Watch me whip, watch me Naehring…
This week the #twofortuesday will have a New York theme to it. Specifically orange and blue, but not all Mets.
Other Notes
I thought the last few weeks had been bad, but this is the worst TTM week that I’ve had in a really long time. Before I go to the details, just remember that everyone’s good and bad weeks are relative. That’s because everyone sends out a different amount and they send them out at different times. Based on what I have going out, getting the amount I got back is not great.
I got eleven returns back and unfortunately three of them were failures. Two guys I think I just had bad addresses for with no replacement: EJ Junior and Dave Van Gorder. I’ve had success from Van Gorder before fortunately so I have cards from him already. The other that I got back was Greg Pryor who basically sent back a price list and and ask to buy his book.
Other than that two of the returns I got back were stragglers. The first was Jaime Navarro after 349 days and the other was the return from Pryor after 264 days.
The Recent TTM Success page will be updated next weekend.
Have a great week!
