We are getting toward the time of year were I think ever sport will be active. Hockey starts next week and then basketball the week after that. That’s a lot of stuff going on at the same time.
That made me think this week, how does everyone prioritize their sports watching? I think it would be obvious if you like say football and you don’t bother with other sports, you’d be watching Sunday night football over baseball. But what if you like multiple sports. Do you rank them by sport or do you rank them by importance?
I think I tend to do a little of both. I like baseball a bit more than other things, but its also playoff time so if that’s on I’m watching that over everything else. But I would say I’m the same when it comes to the spring when the hockey playoffs come around. Then I think about basketball and I tend to kind of ignore that when it’s not my team. But I’ll prioritize some March Madness over all that.
All that said, I spoke about this in the monthly recap this week, but I’m not really watching it all because of the cord cutting. However, I think I’ll be investing in some other streaming services soon.
Hope you had a good week!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Larry Bowa
- Tuesday: Charlie Hough, Bill Campbell
- Wednesday: Jason Tyner
- Thursday: Tim Stoddard, September 2021 TTM Report
- Friday: Don Aase
- Saturday: Al Pedrique
- Sunday: Brian Meyer
No theme this week. In fact there wasn’t even a theme for the #twofortuesday posts. I forget to keep hashtagging those, not that it really matters in the end though.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: No fuss Russ…
- Tuesday: Shaw-shank Redemption…
- Tuesday: I Petit the fool…
- Wednesday: Feeling Randy…
- Thursday: I like to dress as a Goulet on Halloween…
- Friday: The Pharoah Ramsey…
- Saturday: Bob, b, b, Bob…
- Sunday: Hot Rod…
Back to a theme this week and with the NHL regular season getting underway it will be all hockey. This will be new for me because these will be the first ever hockey returns I’ve tried and gotten back. With the backlog I’ve got I’ve been waiting to get these out there and I figured out a way to make it happen. Of course now others will be buried further in there, but at least we can have a little fun now.
Other Notes
A very awesome return week with 24 returns! Hopefully this keeps going to make it another great month. I’m certainly getting more and more out there to keep the returns up. But I am definitely going to have to slow down a bit once I get through this year. I need to slow down a little bit for a lot of reasons but the wallet and the work lead the way.
Not only did this week include more coach/team returns with Darrin Jackson, Bill Haselman and Randy Knorr, but I also got a current player back in Isiah Kiner-Falefa. And that is a name that I have to seriously think through every time I write it. Other favorites I got back this week were Amos Otis, Bert Jones, Danny Darwin, Warren Morris, Eric Gunderson, Brian McRae, and Cliff Levingston.
Have a great week!
