I went to George Mason’s homecoming game yesterday, great game and a really good time. I didn’t go to Mason, but with my kid there and then my wife working there I have this connection now.
I think this was the first game I was back to with the kids back on campus. That plus the homecoming vibe with the alumni in the house was great. But of course my favorite part was a full compliment of Green Machine pep band members. They do such a great job getting that place amped up. A full Eagle Bank Arena is nice, but it can be so hard to keep that momentum of attendance and good crowds going.
I seem to be doing my part this year and going to a good amount of games. And I certainly yell enough. I’m definitely attached to this team and I like seeing these guys perform and grow.
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and has a great week!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Bill Stein
- Tuesday: Jerry Koosman, Lee Guetterman
- Wednesday: Rick Cerone
- Thursday: Barry Pederson
- Friday: Scott Garrelts
- Saturday: Gary Lucas
- Sunday: Rich Bordi
After several weeks of rival teams to mine being the focus of the #twofortuesday, I was able to grab one for my team. The Mets were the focus and it was nice to get a Mets legend up there too.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

This week the #twofortuesday posts will be brought to you by the letter A. Or maybe rather by the letter A’s…. Plus there will be a Hall of Famer to close out the week.
Other Notes
It was another great week of returns. I haven’t seen a failure in a while (although that just jinxed me I am sure). While I am slowing down what I am sending out again, I’ve kind of changed up how I compile what to send out each week. Hopefully that makes for some better or more reliably successful weeks going forward even though what I’m sending out is decreasing.
The numbers on this week… 21 successes! Always nice to be over 20 for sure. I didn’t get any back that were paid successes. I have some out there but I am just not sure I will get them back. But for stragglers there were a bunch this week. I had four that were over 200 days old. Two of those were over 400 days old. The stragglers were: Mike Marshall (451 days), Benny DiStefano (400 days), Dave Skaggs (323 days), and Greg Cadaret (203 days).

Have a great week!
