Short weeks with holidays… sounds good right? Generally I would say yes. However, it seems lately that the short weeks are the busiest and hardest weeks. At least from a work perspective they are.
My work week this week was maybe the worst I have ever had. I’m not sure it will get better any time soon either. On top of the work side I have to right my self-evaluation… blech!
But then my personal and collecting week was really good. I got my latest box from @ryansvintagecards which is always fun. But this time there were some good Mets in there. A ’67 Ed Kranepool and a Doc Gooden autograph ain’t too shabby. And I had another good TTM return week which is always nice, especially when it was a short week.
I guess there is balance to everything.
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and has a great week!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Mike Birkbeck
- Tuesday: Hubie McDonough, Randy Wood
- Wednesday: John D’Acquisto
- Thursday: Curt Giles
- Friday: Dick Ambrose
- Saturday: Eddie Taubensee
- Sunday: Dan Schatzeder
This week I had an Isles #twofortuesday for the Islanders. Another week of a rival team of my favorite teams.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Win Bill Stein’s Money…
- Tuesday: Duck, Duck, Koos…
- Tuesday: Clean the Guetterman…
- Wednesday: Rice-Cerone-ee…
- Thursday: Barry…
- Friday: They’re Gaaarrrrr-elts…
- Saturday: Lucas, up in the sky…
- Sunday: Over the Bordi-line…
There a couple things I could choose for the #twofortuesday posts, but the rivals weeks will come to an end. This week will have two Mets coming up… one a Met legend.
Other Notes
As I mentioned at the top, even with a short week this was a good week of TTM returns. Pushing my attempts up over the holidays is definitely bringing the successes in. Unfortunately, I have to step it back. I’m still sending, but more at the rate I was sending all of last year. That’s as of last week’s attempts I sent out.
So how was the week… well, 23 successful returns and no failures! On top of that there was only one straggler: Andre Thornton at 453 days. I saw others getting him back and I thought I had one pending out there. But that was it for stragglers. Almost everything else I got back was sent in the last two months.
The Recent TTM Success page is updated.
Have a great week!
