The Story of the Autograph
Nate Odomes played as a cornerback in the NFL for eight seasons. The majority of his career was spent with the Buffalo Bills and he was a big part of a defense that helped the team to multiple Super Bowls. After leaving Buffalo he spent time in Seattle and Atlanta before retiring.
Odomes is from Columbus, GA and went to college at Wisconsin. The Bill selected him in the second round of the 1987 NFL Draft with the 29th overall pick. He played 12 games in is rookie season and it was his only year in Buffalo that he didn’t have an interception.
He became one of the best defensive backs of the early 90’s and was part of the four consecutive Super Bowls that the Bills made it to. In 1992 he even had a key interception of Warren Moon during the game known as “The Comeback” that set up the game-winning field goal. He made the Pro Bowl in 1992 and 1993. In 1993 he led the league in interceptions with 9.
After the 1993 season he left Buffalo for Seattle. Unfortunately he never played a game in Seattle because of various injuries that he experienced during his two seasons there. In 1996 he moved to the Falcons and played seven games before calling it a career.
The Score on Nate Odomes – 7.5
Nate has a really solid autograph. He makes it nice and big, you can tell that it’s his name and he used a good marker on these. But it’s the size that really matters on these. He fills up the cards nicely. My favorite of the bunch is the 1990 Score.
Thanks Mr. Odomes! I’m giving this return a 7.5.
