The Story of the Autograph
Mark Bruener is a former tight end in the NFL. He played from 1995 to 2008 with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Houston Texans.
Bruener was born and raised in Washington. He stayed in state for college and played for the Washington Huskies. During his time there he became a good receiver and willing blocker. While his stats weren’t necessarily elite, the Steelers still picked him with the 27th overall pick in the first round of the 1995 NFL Draft.
He was with the Steelers for the first nine years of his career. He had career highs in his first year in the league with 26 catches and 238 yards. It would be 1997 when he had a career high six touchdowns though. He then moved on to the Texans and played the final five years of his career. These days he works as a scout for the Steelers.
The Score on Mark Bruener – 6.5
It looks like Mark tries to sneak his autograph someplace where it will fit. At least that’s what he did on the Action Packed card. I think technically I should count these as Steelers cards, but because I’m posting this is a week of a theme, I’ll consider them Washington Huskies cards.
Thanks Mr. Bruener! I’m giving this return a 6.5.
