The Story of the Autograph
Ken Sanders is a former right-handed pitcher in the major leagues. He was a relief pitcher from 1964 to 1976 with the Kansas City/Oakland Athletics (twice), Boston Red Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, Minnesota Twins, Cleveland Indians, California Angels, New York Mets, and Kansas City Royals.
Sanders is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. In high school he played soccer, football and baseball. He went on to St. Louis University and wasn’t drafted but would sign with the Kansas City Athletics in 1960. He bounch around after debuting on August 6, 1964. He appeared in 21 games that first season and would make it back to the league until 1966.
He moved around a lot in his career. He was in a rule5 draft, was traded five times (in deals including players like Jose Tartabull, Don Money, Cesar Tovar, and many others. He always was released, purchased and signed as a free agent. His best seasons were in Milwaukee with the Brewers from 1970 to 1973, especially 1970 and 1971. In 1971 he played in a league high 83 games and had an also league leading 31 saves, also a career high.

If you read the blog a lot you know that I like to get players in all of the uniforms they wore. That might be a bit hard with Ken. When I got this back he said that he signs one and charges for more. I think the priority would be to find him on a Mets card and then see what I can get from him from there.
