The Story of the Autograph
Jon Sundvold is a former guard in the NBA. “Sunny” played from 1983 to 1991 with the Seattle SuperSonics, San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat.
Sundvold was born in South Dakota and grew up in Missouri. He was a great scorer and made All-State on his way to earning a scholarship to play for the Missouri Tigers. The SuperSonics drafted him in 1983 with the 16th overall pick of the draft in the first round.
For the most part he was a role player and back up. The most games he ever started in a season by far was 42 with his next best start total at 12, those were both during his time with San Antonio in 1986 though 1988. For his career he averaged 7.7 points per game and 2.9 assists per game.
He went back to school after his playing career was over and worked in finance.

Jon has a really nice signature in there, it’s just almost impossible to see. These cards are just not designed for signatures (but that never stops me from getting some ink on them). I love the little fishhook style he has on his “J”. You can really see it on his 1991 Upper Deck card.
