The Story of the Autograph
John Russell is a former catcher and manager in the major leagues. He played from 1984 to 1993 with the Philadelphia Phillies, Atlanta Braves, and Texas Rangers. He later managed with the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2008 to 2010.

The Score on John Russell – 6.0
John has a sort of messy signature. I don’t say that to put it down, just to describe it. He seems to put a bunch of letters all in one place. I don’t know if he is signing his last name over part of his first or just using his first initial. I think given how much is going on, maybe the former.
