The Story of the Autograph
Joe Danelo is a former placekicker in the NFL. He played from 1975 to 1984 and during that time he played for the Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, and Buffalo Bills.
Danelo is a native of Spokane, Washington. He went to Washington State and was then selected in the tenth round of the 1975 NFL Draft by the Packers. He didn’t make the team but came in to replace the starter and played the final 12 games in 1975 for the Packers. The starter, Chester Marcol came back the following season and Bart Starr, then the head coach, promised to trade him. Danelo wanted to go to the Seahawks for their inaugural season, but he instead went to New York.
He played with the Giants for the next seven seasons. He kicked a team-record 55-yard field goal in 1981, but that’s been broken since then. He moved on to play for the Bills in the final two seasons of his career.
The Score on Joe Danelo – 7.0
Joe puts a good amount of ink on your card. I got personalization, a little message and his signature. There almost the perfect place for it on this card. I think when he gets down to the signature he got a bit muddled since he signed over the holder. Nice to get one from a former G-man though.
Thanks Mr. Danelo! I’m giving this return a 7.
