The Story of the Autograph
Jo-Jo Townsell is a former wide receiver and kick returner in the NFL. He played first in the USFL with the Los Angeles Express from 1983 to 1985, then in the New York Jets from 1985 to 1990.
Townsell is a native of Reno, Nevada. He went to college at UCLA and while he was drafted in 1983 into the NFL, he decided to go to the USFL and play. When the USFL folded he moved across the country to New York to play wih the the Jets.
In his six seasons with the Jets he had his best year in 1988. He had career high in punt return yardage and almost a career high in kick return yardage. He also had the second and last punt return for a TD in his career that season.

I’ll take a scribble from Jo-Jo any time. This return reminds me of my Mom and that probably sounds odd. Well my Mom always rooted for the Jets back in the day and these uniforms remind me of those times when I was younger.
