The Story of the Autograph
Jim Breech is a former placekicker in the NFL. He played for the Oakland Raiders and Cincinnati Bengals from 1979 to 1992.
Breech is from Sacramento, California and he went to college at the University of California, Berkely. He started for two seasons during his college years and was then selected by the Detroit Lions with and eight round pick in the 1978 NFL Draft. The Lions cut him prior to the season and he wouldn’t make his first team until the following year with the Raiders. They would cut him the following season when they aquired Chris Bahr.
He had the chance to go to Cleveland but the two parties never got together and he ended up with Cincinnati. That’s interesting because that’s where Chris Bahr had just left when he went to the Raiders. He spent the rest of his career with the Bengals. He played in two Super Bowls (XVI and XXIII) and was perfect in both.
After football Breech has worked in insurance, been on charity boards and headed the Cincinnati chapter of the NFL Alumni.
The Score on Jim Breech – 7.0
Jim did a great jon on these cards. The marker he used was really strong. It might have been a little too much on the 1991 Fleer Ultra card because you can see where some of it rubbed on the back of another card or the envelope a little bit. I think the 1992 Pacific is the strongest of thes bunch though. It really shows off his signature well.
Thanks Mr. Breech! I’m giving this return a 7.
