The Story of the Autograph
Grant Ledyard is a former defenseman in the NHL. He played from 1984 to 2002 with the New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Washington Capitals, Buffalo Sabres, Dallas Stars (twice), Vancouver Canucks, Boston Bruins, Ottawa Senators, and Tampa Bay Lightning (twice).
Ledyard is a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He went through junior hockey leagues like the MJHL, WHL, CHL, and AHL before he made his debut in with the Rangers in 1984, who he signed with as an undrafted free agent. He bounced around a lot in the league and was quite the journeyman. The longes time he spent with any teams was four seasons, which he did for both the Buffalo Sabres and Dallas Stars.
He had only one season where he scored double-digit goals and that was 1986-’87 with the Kings. He topped 20 assists three times: 1986-’87 with the Kings (23), 1990-’91 with the Sabres (23), and a career high 37 with the Stars in 1993-’94. 1993-’94 was also his best season in points by far with 46 (9 goals and 37 assists).

This is a tough on from Grant. He has a really fun looking signature, but the marker on this one didn’t really do him any favors. I thought this would be a player that I had a whole lot more cards for but I really don’t. I probably need to do a lot more digging through my hockey stuff.
