The Story of the Autograph
Gerald Alexander is a former right-handed pitcher in the major leagues. His career in the majors spanned from 1990 to 1992 and he played for the Texas Rangers.
Alexander is a native of Louisiana. He went to Tulane where he played baseball for the Green Wave. He was then drafted by the Rangers in the 21st round of the 1989 MLB Draft. He would make his major league debut for them on September 9, 1990.
He only played in three games to close out that first season. It was in his second season that he got his most significant chance in the majors. That season he played in 30 games with nine starts and had a 5-3 record with an ERA of 5.24. In his final season that he made appearances he only had three more. Unfortunately in the 1.2 innings he pitched he gave up 5 runs and had a 27.00 ERA.
The Score on Gerald Alexander – 7.0
Gerald has a pretty large signature even though he seems to sort of trail off the ends of his names, especially his last. The blue marker goes really well with the Rangers colors on these. And even thought the cards have colorful borders, it all seems to work really well with the blue too.
Thanks Mr. Alexander! I’m giving this return a 7.
