Over his four seasons with San Francisco, Plummer played in 61 games and continued to be a consistent contributor.
Plummer retired after the 1997 season, concluding a 15-year professional career that spanned two leagues and solidified his reputation as one of the most dependable linebackers of his era.
After hanging up his cleats, Plummer transitioned to broadcasting, serving as a color analyst for the San Francisco 49ers radio broadcasts. His deep understanding of the game and engaging personality made him a natural fit in the booth.

Gary definitely has a plan for his signature. That capital “G” is a great start. It’s definitely a letter that can create some interest if done right. From there I like how he works it into the rest of his signature and the sort of underline that he does with his last name. Gary gave me an extra card on this one somehow. I think in previous returns he’s noted that he signs some and then gives some away to kids so it’s interesting that he gave me one.
