The Story of the Autograph

Frank Eufemia is a former pitcher in the major leagues. The right-hander played in just one season, that was in 1985 with the Minnesota Twins.

Eufemia was born in the Bronx, New York, but grew up in New Jersey. He went to Stockton University and then Ramapo College, both in New Jersey. He was drafted by the Twins in the eighteenth round of the 1982 MLB Draft. He made his major league debut three years later on May 21, 1985.

In the one season he played he played in 39 games, all in relief. He went 4-2 with a 3.79 ERA. He went back to the minors the following year and was out of baseball the following season. He tried to come back in 1992 with the Mets and pitched for the Tidewater Tides. He would leave after that season but was considered as a replacement player in the 1995 season.

He tried one last comeback in 1998 with an independent team in New Jersey and was a starter. He went 5-1 in 11 games and the team were eventual champions. These days he is a P.E. teacher in New Jersey.

The Score on Frank Eufemia – 7.0

Eufemia has a nice signature. What I like best about it is its size. He fills up the cards really well. Unfortunately there are not a whole lot of cards that exist for him to sign. This one he has to sign over that dark jersey, but the black marker works better than a blue one would.

Thanks Mr. Eufemia! I’m giving this return a 7.
