The Story of the Autograph
Ed Crosby is a former infielder int he major leagues. He played from 1970 to 1976 with the St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians.
Crosby is a native of California. He grew up in Long Beach and played college baseball at Long Beach City College. The Cardinals drafted him in the 1969 MLB Draft in the second round. He made his major league debut a year later July 12, 1970. He made it into 38 games that season but would be back to the minors for the 1971 season. In 1972 he came back and played in a career high 101 games, hit .217 and had 19 RBI.
In 1973 he was traded to the Reds for a player to be named later and Ed Sprague. The following year he went to the Phillies in the rule 5 draft and was sold back to the Cardinals, but they would then trad him to the Indians where he would finish his major league career. He tried making it with the Athletics in 1977 but never made it back to the majors.
For his career he hit .220 with 44 RBI. He never hit a homer in his career. His son, Bobby Crosby, had much more success. He had an eight year career and started with being the 2004 AL Rookie of the Year.

This is a nice one from Ed, plus he included a bonus. I love it when players do that. I like having some of these post card/photos in my collection, but it is hard to figure out the best place to keep them. The 1976 Topps card came out really well. The loopy “E” and “C” are a good size and this really fills up the card.
