The Story of the Autograph
Dave Rosello is a former infielder in the major leagues. He played from 1972 to 1981 with the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians.
Rosello is a native of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. The Cubs signed him in 1968 as an amateur free agent. After a few years in their farm system he made his major league debut late in the 1972 season on September 10, 1972. He played parts of six seasons with the Cubs.
Your typical, light hitting infielder, he never hit more than three homers in a season (1979 with the Indians) and never hit over .263 (with a .236 average for his career). He also never made it into more than 91 games in a season which he did with the Cubs in 1976. He was released in March of 1982 by the Indians and wouldn’t appear in the majors any more after that.
The Score on Dave Rosello – 6.0
Dave has a pretty loose signature. It’s not super-defined or anything like that and some of the letters don’t necessarily look like what they should. Still, you get the idea of his name in there. This was a good marker though and the cards let you see it pretty well because the pictures are light and bright.
Thanks Mr. Rosello! I’m giving this return a 6.
