The Story of the Autograph
Dave LaRoche is a former left-handed pitcher in the major leagues. He played from 1970 to 1983 and during that time he played for the California Angels (twice), Minnesota Twins, Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, and New York Yankees. He was a back-to-back All-Star in 1976 and 1977.

Dave has a pretty crazy signature. It seems like the letters are sometimes on different levels or even headed in different directions. The thin marker that he used this time didn’t come out as well as in the past when he used a thicker marker. The 1977 Topps card is a good example of how it gets a little buried with the image and the facsimile signature already on there. I do like that 1975 Topps card the best though.
