The Story of the Autograph
Cliff Levingston is a former forward in the NBA. He played from 1982 to 1995 with the Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls and Denver Nuggets. He also played from 1992 to 1994 overseas.
Levingston is a native of San Diego California. He went to Wichita State and was then drafted in the first round with the ninth overall pick of the 1982 NBA Draft by the Pistons. He played sparingly in his first two seasons in Detroit. They then traded him in 1984 to the Hawks along with Antoine Carr and a couple draft picks for Dan Roundfield.
He played the most for the Hawks in his career (from 1984 to 1990). While with the Hawks he averaged 8.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and .9 assists per game. While with the Hawks he once fouled into a game. When the too many players fouled out he was the last on to have fouled out and then was able to go back into the game.
In 1990 he joined the Chicago Bulls and was part of two of their championship seasons in 1991 and 1992. He then went overseas to Greece and Italy, where he was part of a championship team, to play before returning to play with the Nuggets.
After playing he went into coaching and has coached in developmental leagues and with the Harlem Globetrotters.
The Score on Cliff Levingston – 7.0
Cliff has what looks like two styles to his signature. His first name looks simply like waves and it makes sense with the letters in his first name. His last name is really just his last initial and he does that Laverne and Shirley “L”, then just his number. I think when I first looked at it I almost thought the number was part of his name.
Thanks Mr. Levingston! I’m giving this return a 7.
