The Story of the Autograph
Bubba Starling is an outfielder in the major leagues. He’s played in the league for two years starting in 2019 and spent both years with the Kansas City Royals. At the time of this writing he is a free agent.
Starling is a native of Gardner, Kansas. He was All-State in three sports in high school. He led his football team to the 2009 Kansas 5A State Championship game as the quarterback in his junior year. He accepted a scholarship to Nebraska for football and baseball. He never played for the Cornhuskers as the Royals drafted him with the fifth overall selection in the 2011 MLB Draft.
After spending several years in the minors, he debuted on July 12, 2019. He played 56 games in his rookie season and 35 this most recent season. But after a disappointing season in 2020 he was nontendered by the Royals in early December and is currently a free agent.

Unfortunately I think these are stamps from Bubba. I’ve seen others get things back like this. There are a couple of signs. The first being the way the ink look like was put on the cards. I know the 2020 Topps flagship cards don’t take autographs well, but still. The other is just the way the signature looks compared to the sort of clumping and bubbling effect. Stamps, or suspected stamps are just always disappointing.
