Bryce Paup is a former linebacker in the National Football League. He spent eleven years in the league and during that time he played for the Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Minnesota Vikings.
Paup was born and raised in Iowa. He went to college and played football for the University of Iowa. In 1990 he was chosen by the Packers in the 6th round of the NFL Draft. He spent his first five seasons in Green Bay and ended his time there with a Pro Bowl appearance in 1994.
In 1995 he moved to the Buffalo Bills and kept up his great play. He continued to make the Pro Bowl in consecutive years until 1997 and he was a first team All-Pro in that first year with Buffalo. But his best achievement was winning the 1994 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. He led the league with 17.5 sacks and added two interceptions and 89 tackles.
After his playing days were over he went into coaching. He started at the high school level and these days he work with his alma mater as the defensive line coach.
The Score on Bryce Paup – 6.5
Bryce has a great signature but this is just another example of the football cards being so dark and busy that they don’t let the autograph show off. I’m really happy that I had cards of his with the Bill and Packers because that’s really who I remember him playing with best.
Thanks Mr. Paup! I’m giving this return a 6.5.
