The Story of the Autograph
Bruce Reimers is a former offensive lineman in the National Football League. He played from 1984 to 1993, primarily as a guard, with the Cincinnati Bengals and Tampa Bay Bucanneers.
Reimers was born and raised in Iowa. He was a standout player on defense in high school and went on to attend Iowa State University. An injury during his freshman year had him move to the offensive line. He bulked up and by the time he was done with the Cyclones he was ready to be drafted. The Bengals chose him in the eighth round of the 1984 NFL Draft.
In his first few years he played guard and tackle and then dealt with some injuries. But he was part of an offensive line that help the Bengals make it to Super Bowl XXIII which they would lose to the San Francisco 49ers. An ankle injury would limit him in 1990 and he would spend one more season in Cincinnati before moving on to Tampa Bay to finish his career.

A typical example of the challenges of football autographs. Bruce did a great job but that 1990 Pro Set card is way too busy and he’s got that black jersey on. The 1991 Fleer card by contrast is really nice. I love the colors on that card with the Bengals colors.
