The Story of the Autograph
Brad Davis is a former guard in the NBA. He played from 1977 to 1992 with the Los Angeles Lakers, Indiana Pacers, Utah Jazz, and Dallas Mavericks.
Davis was born and raised in Monaca, Pennsylvania. He earned All-State honors in basketball and even tried out for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He then went on to play for Lefty Driesell at Maryland. He was a starter as a freshman and left school after his junior year. The Lakers then selected him in the first round of the 1977 NBA Draft with the 15th overall pick.
Davis moved around a lot to start his career and didn’t really play much for various reasons. He broke his hand in his rookie season and was waived the following season. He would play in other leagues as be bounced around.
It wasn’t until he signed as a free agent with the expansion Dallas Mavericks that he really played a whole lot. He would be a big part of their first teams and throughout the 80’s. He would later coach for the Mavs and spend time as the color commentator on TV and radio broadcasts.
The Score on Brad Davis – 5.5
These didn’t come out the greatest from Brad, but I think for the most part they are the best they are going to get. That’s not really Brad’s fault though. All these cards are not necessarily ideal to sign. They don’t have great places for it, except maybe for the 1991 Fleer card. That one might be my favorite of these.
Thanks Mr. Davis! I’m giving this return a 5.5.
