Bob Sweeney is a former hockey player in the NHL who played as a center and right wing. He played from 1986 to 1996 with the Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, New York Islanders, and Calgary Flames.

Sweeney is a native of Massachusetts, as he was born in Concord and grew up in Boxborough. He was drafted out of high school by the Bruins in the 1982 NHL Draft and then wen to on to play for Boston College. He would make his major league debut in 1986 but didn’t play his first full season until the next year. In that first full year he helped the Bruins get to the Stanley Cup Finals but they would lose to the Edmonton Oilers.

He spent six years with the Bruins before moving to the Sabres after being claimed off waivers and spending another three seasons there. He would move on to the Islanders and Flames before his NHL career was over. But after the NHL he would continue to play in the IHL for a year and then play in Germany for another five years.

He played in 382 NHL games and scored 81 goals and had 112 assists during his career.

The Score on Bob Sweeney – 6.0

Bob has a pretty good signature but it just gets swallowed up by some of these cards. From what I can see though I like how the bottom of his “B” and “S” sort of match the way they loop. Another thing I’m noticing is that he includes his number and it looks like he did a good job of matching when it changed in the images on the cards.

Thanks Mr. Sweeney! I’m giving this return a 6.
