While not a bad month, April wasn’t a great month. Definitely compared to March it wasn’t as great. I was hoping for a few leftovers from Spring Training but those didn’t materialize. What I got was mostly the football stuff I’ve been working on since the fall (almost through it by the way) and a couple of pretty old baseball returns.
The baseball returns were Carlos Baerga and David Dejesus. Both of those took over 200 days to come back to me. The Baerga was actually an improvement on the 2644 days that the last one took. The football returns were pretty much all over the place. I kind of like that because there’s no specific team or theme coming back. It means I can look forward to anything and everything.
As for failures, I had a few. Ron Heller and Mike Schad both came back to me and I assume I just used an old address. Funny that they are both former Eagles. I also got Jim Harbaugh back from Michigan. Those I find kind of funny. I’ve had other coaches sign for me over the years, but this one came back citing compliance and all that. Maybe they are playing it more safe than sorry. Disappointing, but I can deal with it.
Overall, 15 successes and three failures for the month isn’t bad. It was 44 total cards coming back. It just wasn’t the 30+ returns I had the month before. Just gotta keep them going out so I can keep them coming back.
