The Story of the Autograph
Andy Kosco is a former outfielder in the major leagues. His career spanned the years 1965 to 1974 and he played for seven teams: Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers, California Angels, Boston Red Sox, and Cincinnati Reds.
Kosco is a native of Ohio and played several sports growing up in cluding basketball and baseball. Michigan State offered him a scholarship for baseball and basketball and Ohio State offered in a scholarship for baseball and football. Instead he went to Youngstown University and was signed as an amateur free agent by the Tigers in 1959. He would never appear for the Tigers because they released him in 1964 and he was picked up by the Twins. He debuted for the Twins on August 13, 1965.
He never spent more than three years with any one team and his longest tenure was that much time with the Twins. He got his best shot at played with the Yankees in 1968 with 131 games and the Dodgers in 1969 with 120 games. He would be traded five different times in his career and spend a lot of short stints with teams. He hit .236 for his career with eight homers and 267 RBI.

Andy has a pretty standard signature but it came out great on these cards. I don’t have that many 1972 Topps cards signed so that one was definitely great to get back. But I definitely think that the 1970 Topps cards is the best one of this lot. That card is so bright and the signature sticks out really well.
