The Story of the Autograph
Andy Heck is a former tackle in the National Football League. He mostly played on the left side of the offensive line and also played guard at times in his career. He played from 1989 through 2000 and spent time with the Seahawks, Bears, and Redskins.
He was born on New Year’s Day in Fargo North Dakota, but he attended high school around my neck of the woods in Fairfax, VA for W.T. Woodson High School. He went on to attend Notre Dame and be a co-captain on a National Championship winner in 1988.
The Seahawks selected Heck in the first round of the 1989 NFL Draft with the 15th overall pick of the draft. Aside from his first and last years, he started every game he played in. After playing he went on to being a coach. He coach with the University of Virginia and Jacksonville Jaguars and he’s currently a coach with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Score on Andy Heck – 6.0
Andy as a pretty solid signature. That 1991 Pro Set card is my favorite card of the bunch but it’s a bit hard to see the signature on that one. I think his signature came out the best on the 1993 Topps card.
Thanks Mr. Heck! I’m giving this one a 6.
