The Story of the Autograph
Alvin Walton is a former safety in the NFL. He played from 1986 to to 1991 with the Washington Redskins. He also played in the Canadian Football League with the Baltimore Stallions from 1994 to 1995.
Walton was born and raised in California. He first went to college at Mt. San Jacinto College for two years and then transferred to the University of Kansas. He only played there one year after being ruled academically inelligible for his senior season. The Redskins then drafted him in the third round of the 1986 NFL Draft.
He was with the Redskins through the 1991 season and was part of two of their Super Bowl winning teams. The first was after the 1987 season when they defeated the Denver Broncos and the second after the 1991 Season when they beat the Buffalo Bills. In 77 NFL games he had 12 interceptions, one fumble recovery, and five sacks.
The Redskins released him in 1992 and he went to work for Federal Express and the U.S. Postal Service. Out of football for three years, he joined the Baltimore Stallions and won a Grey Cup in 1995. It was the only time an American team won it.
The Score on Alvin Walton – 4.5
This wasn’t a great return from Alvin. That isn’t necessarily for anything he appeared to do. The signatures would be fine, but it looks like maybe the cards rubbed against each other in the envelope. It also doesn’t help that these are pretty busy or dark images to sign over.
Thanks Mr. Walton! I’m giving this return a 4.5.
