This is getting to be one of my favorite times of the year for sports. I think the other would be October for playoff baseball. But in this case it’s time for March Madness.
Over the last couple years there been a lot of interest because the original team I followed as a kid (UConn) had been on an amazing run. With so many great players leaving it was going to be hard to make it three in a row. But this year has been really strong for my adopted team… George Mason!
Those who regularly read these weekly posts might know that my wife works there, my kid goes there, and it’s right down the road from me. They’ve been my mid-major team for a while because I can go see them so much. It’s actually an odd situation given that they ruined Uconn’s run years back when the Patriots got to the Final Four.
But this year both the men and the women have a shot at the dance. The women play for the A-10 Championship tonight so I am hoping for a good result there. The men won a share of the A-10 regular season title last night. Hoping for some good results coming up. Maybe I will even head down into DC next weekend.
I hope everyone is enjoyed their weekend and has a great week!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Tim McIntosh
- Tuesday: Tony La Russa, Don Kessinger
- Wednesday: Frank DiPino

Last week I had a “Chicago” #twofortuesday. I was able to cover both baseball teams from the Windy City with Tony La Russa and Don Kessinger (who could cover both on his own).
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

I was able to put together another #twofortuesday theme for this week. I’ve got two Bravos coming up.
Other Notes
This was definitely a down week for the number of returns. I got half as much as I had been getting in previous weeks with a total of ten successful returns coming back.
Of the ten returns there were no failures – that’s good. Much like recent weeks I got back another really crazy straggler. I actually got three. The more normal stragglers were Cory Snyder at 341 days and then Bucky Richardson at 220 days. But the one that takes the cake is from Lonnie Chisenhall who I sent to back in June of 2020 – that’s 1690 days! That’s four recent returns of over 1000 days.
The Recent TTM Success page will be updated next weekend.
Have a great week!
