The Story of the Autograph
Tim Scott is a former right-handed pitcher in the major leagues. He played from 1991 to 1997 with the San Diego Padres (twice), Montreal Expos, San Francisco Giants, and Colorado Rockies.
Scot is a native of California. He was drafted out of high school by the Dodgers in the second round of the 1984 MLB Draft. He would never make it to the majors with them though. After several years in the minors he was granted free agency after the 1990 season. He signed with the Padres and made his major league debut with them on June 25, 1991.
He moved around a lot during his career. He spent a couple years with the Padres and then was traded to Montreal for Archi Cianfrocco in 1993. In 1996 the Expos traded him along with Kirk Reuter to the Giants for Mark Leiter. He moved to the Reds via waivers and from there he moved around as a free agent to a few teams.
His career line is 24-13 with a 4.13 ERA in 276 games and 314 innings pitched.
The Score on Tim Scott – 6.5
Tim, who looks like he signs as “Jim” has an interesting signature. It almost looks like two different styles. His first name looks very much in cursive style while his last name most time seems more just written in regular writing (not sure what to call that). I think it came out well on most of thse but he seemed to sign over some of the busiest places on the card.
Thanks Mr. Scott! I’m giving this return a 6.5.
