The Story of the Autograph
Vince Horsman was a left-handed relief pitcher in the major leagues. He played from 1991 to 1995 with the Toronto Blue Jays, Oakland Athletics and Minnesota Twins.
Horsman is a native of Canada. He was born and raised in Nova Scotia. In September of 1984 the Blue Jays signed him as an amatuer free agent. He spent the next several years in the minors with them until his major league debut on September 5, 1991. He only appeared in four games for the rest of that season.
In 1992 the Athletics selected him off waivers and he would have probably the best of his five seasons in the majors that year. He made 58 appearances and went 2-1 with a 2.49 ERA. While he made a significant number of appearances the next two seasons his playing time went down and is ERA went up. The A’s released him in 1994 and he played for the Twins in 1995 before being released in August of that season.
In more recnet years he’s coached in the minor leagues.
The Score on Vince Horsman – 7.0
Vince’s signature is very capital letter / intial focused. It’s pretty much first initial, line, last initial, and then squiggle. That isn’t to say it doesn’t have character though. I think a couple of these don’t show it off well but my favorites are how it came out on those 1992 Donruss Rookies cards.
Thanks Mr. Horsman! I’m giving this return a 7.
