Yesterday was an amazing day in Northern Virginia. It made me wish that Halloween was like that but unfortunately it was a pretty rainy night that night. It didn’t dampen the number of trick-or-treaters too much, but it made it way less fun as we would have hung out with folks from the block a bit more if it was nicer out.
But yesterday was very odd. It was in the 70’s and I’m hearing that we might be in the 80’s tomorrow. While I love it, and it makes it a good time to get the yard stuff done, it just feels really odd.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Bobby Crosby
- Tuesday: Johnnie LeMaster, Nate Schierholtz
- Wednesday: Dave Manson
- Thursday: Rich Rowland
- Friday: Charlie Leibrandt
- Saturday: Brian Moehler
- Sunday: Steve Nicosia
No theme for the week but I did get in another themed #twofortuesday. This week I had a few from San Francisco to choose from and I had an all San Francisco Giants Tuesday, with another left over that was posted earlier today.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Hello Jerry…
- Tuesday: Elarton Day…
- Tuesday: Cris-tal…
- Wednesday: Mark my words…
- Thursday: Giusti in a bottle…
- Friday: Hawkins-eye…
- Saturday: Last name like an Italian cheese…
- Sunday: Soup…
Again, no theme this week and also no theme for the #twofortuesday. I’m going to be working on getting my oldest things in the backlog posted in the next several weeks.
Other Notes
While 16 returns isn’t the greatest week for me, and a little below the pace I want, it was consistent with last week’s 17 returns. So not too bad. October closed out well overall and I’ll be working on getting the monthly review out this week, but still later than I wanted.
There was one big straggler this week… Chris Chambliss returned after 623 days. The next one behind that was Erik Hanson at 167 days, so a pretty big gap.
