The Story of the Autograph
Jaime Cocanower is a former pitcher in the major leagues. He played from 1983 to 1986 and spent that time with the Milwaukee Brewers as both a starter and a reliever.
Cocanower was born in Puerto Rico but went to high school in Panama. He went to college at Baylor University and helped the team to their first College World Series appearances in 1977 and 1978. The Brewers signed him as an amateur free agent in June of 1978. After several years in the minors he made his first major league appearance on September 7, 1983 and went 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA to close out the season with five games and three starts.
In 1984 he was part of the starting rotation for the whole season with the likes of Don Sutton and Moose Haas. In 33 appearances and 27 starts he went 8-16 with a 4.02 ERA. He was demoted to a spot starter in 1985 and went 6-8 with a 4.33 ERA in 24 appearances with 15 starts. At one point he set an unofficial record with wild pitches in eight straight appearances.
He played his final game in the major on July 12, 1986. He went back down to the minors and was released by the Brewers at the end of the year. He join with the Dodgers the next season but after some trouble in the minors he called it a career.

These came back great from Jaime. He has a really great signature and the ink is so strong on these. Plus the blue marker with the blue from the Brewers uniforms looks great. It’s kind of hard to pick a favorite but I think its the 1987 Topps card.
