The Story of the Autograph
Isiah Kiner-Falefa, nicknamed the Hawaiian Hustle, is a shortstop and catcher in the major leagues. He’s been in the league since 2018 and thus far had spent it with the Texas Rangers. This month he was traded to the Minnesota Twins and then almost immediately to the New York Yankees.
Kiner-Falefa is a native of Hawaii, as his nickname would suggest. The Rangers drafted him in the fourth round of the 2013 MLB Draft. He made his major league debut on April 10, 2018. While billed as a shortstop and catcher, he’s also played second base and third base while in the organization.
Thus far he’s had some pretty good seasons. His first two he was clearly only getting his feet wet and then he had a really successful shortened 2020 season. He hit .280 with three homers and ten RBI but also won a Gold Glove award. Then he came back last year and in 158 games he hit .271 with eight homers and 53 RBI.
The Score on Isiah Kiner-Falefa – 7.0
It looks like Isiah is a one per unless he just forgot one for me. As always the signature came out great on the Heritage card. That blue looks really great with his uniform too. I love the “KF” as his last name too.
Thanks Mr. Kiner-Falefa! I’m giving this return a 7.
