The Story of the Autograph
Billy Jo Robidoux is a former first baseman in the major leagues. He played from 1985 to 1990 with the Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox.
Robidoux is from Ware, Massachusetts. The Brewers drafted him out of high school in the sixth round of the 1982 MLB Draft. He made his major league debut for them three years later as a September call-up on September 11, 1985. He was with the Milwaukee organization through the 1988 season, but he never played more and 56 games with them in any one season, and that was in 1986. He totaled 130 games for the Brewers with a .221 average, four homers and 38 RBI.
He moved on to Chicago in 1989 as a free agent and only played 16 games with the White Sox. The following season he signed with the Red Sox in 1990 and played another 27 games with his last major game happening on September 17, 1990.
The Score on Bill Jo Robidoux – 7.0
Billy Jo doesn’t have a bad signature and it came out pretty well on these cards. While I can ready his name, I don’t necessarily see the “Jo” part or the “x” at the end. I see what he’s doing for the “x” but I wouldn’t necessarily guess that was at the end if I didn’t know who’s signature this was. I think my favorite of these is the 1987 Fleer card because the signature sticks out so well.
Thanks Mr. Robidoux! I’m giving this return a 7 overall.
