As I was going through some things this week and saving images and stuff, I realize a funny, coincidental oddity. That got me thinking about other things I’ve seen over the years in TTM returns.
For instance, the one I just noticed after getting Tony Hrkac back this week was that I have three autographs from people with names starting with “Hr”. How many of those are there in the US or North America? And then how many of those played a sport? I have Al Hrabosky, Kent Hrbek and now Tony Hrkac. That just seemed really odd to me.
In the past I’ve seen things where like three guys named Scott will come in on the same day. Totally weird and completely random I know. I guess when you are getting a good amount back like I did last year you are bound to see some odd stuff like that. I know it’s not much, but it makes you think. It’s like the C&C Music Factory song… “Things That Make You Go Hmmm”.
Stay safe and healthy!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Jerry Terrell
- Tuesday: Steve Mura, Ricky Horton
- Wednesday: Beau Allred
- Thursday: Joey Wendle
- Friday: Scott Oberg
- Saturday: Steve Jordan
- Sunday: Gorman Thomas
No theme for the week this week and unfortunately I didn’t get a non-TTM related post out. I did have a theme for the #twofortuesday posts – Cardinals. That one just happened to fall that way with how these cards came back in order. Usually I have to juggle the order around a little bit.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Another Tower of Terrell…
- Tuesday: Let’s Nance…
- Tuesday: Ehlo Guvna…
- Wednesday: Not Flat Stanley…
- Thursday: When a bunch of big fans live together…
- Friday: Sometimes my Mom gets really Nagy…
- Saturday: I ain’t talkin’ ’bout no Terry cloth…
- Sunday: Holman, now hit it…
This week’s #twofortuesday is going to be all about the Cleveland Cavaliers. You probably could have guess that just from the hints above though. Some are just really obvious.
Other Notes
So I think that things are slowing down, but also I had to remember that this was a week with one less mail delivery day. My total for this week is 21. Not bad when you take a day out from getting mail. No real stragglers or anything like that. The longest out was Billy Sample at 159 days. I did get two nice paid returns though: Jerry Grote and Dennis Eckersley. Eckersley has a really beautiful signature.
The new Recent TTM Success is updated. One thing I’m noticing is that I’ve been updating the list, but sometimes I forget to change the date at the top of the page to tell you when I last updated it. I’m going to try to get better about that.
Have a great week!
