As I write this my daughter is playing guitar and while she’s only a couple weeks in at school, it’s so nice to hear it in the house. Yeah she is new too it, but I think my favorite part is that I didn’t have to tell her to practice today. She just picked it up and did it on her own. She even came home at the end of the week and proclaimed “I think I’m getting better!”
I’ve said it on the blog before, but if you don’t know I sing and play guitar in a band. We’re just a local cover band, but I’ve been wanting to do a song or two with my daughters and I’m hoping we can parlay this into something with the band at some point. I will take a guess though and say that they will never want to be that uncool to play with dear old Dad.

With the start of the NFL regular season I thought I would to a #footballweek. With all the baseball I’ve been getting back, you might not see too many football TTMs in the coming weeks because I did this. The Jets were the #twofortuesday theme this week with Wayne Chrebet and Freeman McNeil and even though I’m a Giants fan, I still enjoyed remember their careers in writing those posts. And with all that, I think the best thing is that I got out another Card Thoughts post. I hadn’t been able to get one of those out in forever. I’m hoping this starts a trend.

Other Notes
Wow another awesome week in the books! Knock on wood, but September is going really well so far. This week I got back 22 returns. Monday was a huge day that brought in about half of them. It certainly gets me excited for Mondays to come around and brings new meaning to the term “case of the Mondays.”
There were definitely some interesting returns in the mix too. I’m seeing some more basketball come back with four of them in the total. I’m also still getting back some good returns from coaches. That includes a crossover (lol – see what I did there!) of both of those topics with Nate McMillan return a few. Other nice ones I got this week are Bud Black, Roberto Hernandez, Don August, Joe Danelo, Russ Davis and Bill Madlock.
